Platform Computing has given its financial services software a performance boost. Platform Symphony 4 is "five to 10 times faster than alternative environments," the company says. The grid-based software boosts application performance for financial services companies, giving them a quick and easy way to build high-performance computing environments for compute- and data-intensive financial applications. Symphony's grid computing environment supports key financial services processes such as intraday risk calculations, pre-trade pricing and end-of-day value at risk calculations.
