Grid Computing News : Hospital Goes Digital With Help From IBM Grid

Massachusetts-based HealthAlliance Hospital turned to IBM to make the most of its picture archiving and communication system (PACS). HealthAlliance Hospital, a member of UMass Memorial Health Care, installed a PACS from Siemens Medical Solutions so it can move toward digital health records while eliminating traditional paper and film. But making those digital records widely available took a little help from Big Blue. With IBM's Grid Medical Archive Solution (GMAS), the hospital can now make patient records available to clinicians anytime, anywhere.
