Grid Computing News : Univa UD Launches Open Source Grid Community

Univa UD has re-launched its Grid.org Web site as an online community for open source grid and cluster users and developers. The site was where United Devices had housed its public grid computing projects before its merger with Univa. Now the site will get a second life as an open source grid and cluster community. Univa UD isn't the only company making grid computing news at this week's Supercomputing conference. The Open Grid Forum said its High Performance Computing Basic Profile specification will be adopted in product releases by several commercial providers, including Microsoft, Altair, and Platform Computing.... read more
